i have recently moved here to hawaii and have tried a couple of the amps here. i have been to amps back home before. i have a friend out here and he has showed me a couple of the amps out here and i have to say im impressed. it has turned into a weekend thing. however i went to one and saw something that kinda shocked me. we went into one and there was a girl there that had to be around 14 or 15. i have never seen a minor at a place like this. im not sure if she was "working" there or just hanging out waiting or what. i didnt feel right to ask. if she was working there i would turn that amp in cause thats not what a girl that age should be doing, i cant remember which amp it was cause i am not yet familiar with the area. my friend just told me not to worry about it. is this normal around here? should i try to find out more info? what should i do? please help.

I don't think any AMP in Hawaii has 14 or 15 year olds working at these places. Everybody in this sight would turn them in. You should have said something to the mamasa. We have to protect or kids.

This kind of sounds like BS to me unless you can come up with some more details about your experience. Most of the amps here feature 30 - 50 year olds, and I have never see one remotely close to young age that age ever.

Find out the amps name and turned them in. Period.

agreed. to be on the "safe" side, you should provide as many details as you could remember on this board, if nothing else. with all the experience on here, i am SURE someone could help you remember the name of the place you were. cant let the bad ones spoil all the fun, but at the same time ANY bust of any place for underage workers would set off a political firestorm, and make hobbying a nightmare until the heat died down. strange though that you would sign up here and that your first post is about young 'uns imho...

Like many from the mainland, you may not be familiar with asians. If that is the case, it can be hard to tell the age of someone who is very petite, and built with a miniature rack. Personally, I love 'em, but I am awful at estimating ages. I would be a lot more afraid of picking up a minor in a bar or on the street than in an AMP.

Your friend is a pin head for telling you not to worry about it. Maybe your friend is a pedofille. Turn his ass in.

Actually, I have been to a spa where the daugther of one of the providers (the daughter was 17) was in the spa eating and picking up money from her mom.

Just because you see someone in the place does not mean they work there. Owners routinely have family members come through and help with things, carrying in groceries or supplies, cooking or cleaning etc.

Just like you see young kids behind the counters at some Ethnic resturants, there is a grey area where family businesses are concerned and child labor, it is actually legal in most states to have your kids do some work at family owned business same as you would have them do chores at home.

As another guy posted on a recent review, there's the AFAEFWG factor, where you add at least 10 years to the girls age if you're a white guy ("Asian Female Age Estimate for White Guys").
